About Square

Square is an agency specialising in packaging artwork execution for major international brands (cosmetics, fragrance, food, personal care). Our studio combines prepress expertise with in-house artificial intelligence tools, so we can support our clients with ever more efficient workflows.

The role

As our studio grows, we are looking for a Packaging Artwork & Prepress Specialist to join the team.

Reporting to studio management, you take charge of the artwork execution and prepress of packaging materials for major brands — from the moment creative files come in through to the delivery of print-ready files.

Your responsibilities

• Producing packaging execution files (compliance with standards, technical layout)
• Handling trapping, foolproofing marks (détrompeurs) and spot varnishes
• Colour calibration
• Using the in-house AI tools and workflows to optimise production
• Working alongside the creative, sales and key-account teams

What we are looking for

• Substantial experience: at least 6 years in a similar role in a packaging agency, a printing house or a prepress studio
• Expert command of the Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Solid prepress skills: colorimetry, ICC profiles, trapping, foolproofing marks, spot varnishes
• Genuine interest in AI tools applied to packaging workflows
• Rigour, autonomy and an eye for detail — at ease with the quality demands of key accounts
• Your qualifications are not a deciding factor: experience comes first

€28k–€35k, depending on profile and experience

The role

As a Senior Packaging Project Manager, you run a key client portfolio autonomously — often multi-brand and multi-project. You are the client's main point of contact: you guarantee the quality of what we deliver, coordinate the internal Project Management and Studio teams, and play a strategic role in the relationship and in growing the account.

Client and project management

• Running the day-to-day management of a key client: planning, coordination, overall follow-up
• Acting as the client's main contact and, together with the Client Services Director, ensuring their satisfaction
• Building a relationship of trust and offering strategic advice throughout the project lifecycle
• Leading client meetings: operational and strategic reviews, KPI reporting, post-project debriefs
• Advising clients ahead of launches on organisation, methodology and colour management

Internal coordination and leadership

• Owning the client's global planning across brands and projects
• Leading internal meetings: studio briefings, weekly reviews, quality checkpoints, multi-project coordination
• Organising and arbitrating resources across Project Managers and Studio teams
• Delegating specific tasks to PMs (local adaptations, packshots, hero images)
• Mentoring junior Project Managers and supporting their development

Quality and production

• Reviewing and validating individual packs and Master files
• Contributing to quality assurance alongside the Studio and the Client Director
• Analysing complex artworks (Masters, RD, MB) and taking part in technical meetings with printers and packaging teams

Administration and reporting

• Managing the client's billing and revenue reporting autonomously
• Sharing feedback on team development and training needs with the Client Services Director

Skills we are looking for

• Excellent grasp of graphic production workflows and technical specifications
• The ability to analyse complex artworks and stand behind their quality
• Confidence in structuring, presenting and defending a project plan
• The ability to read a client brief and turn it into relevant recommendations
• Strong written and spoken English — our clients are international
• Comfort running several brands and projects at once in a demanding environment
• Coordinating internal teams and arbitrating priorities

• Solid experience managing strategic client accounts

• Natural leadership and a willingness to support more junior profiles
• Ease in dealing with a wide range of people, internally and externally
